150

Celebrate!
OMF Celebrated their 150th birthday yesterday, and if you want to check out their facebook page they have a lot of information about the ministry and what God is doing and how He is moving in Asia. You'll find this video on there:

No Regrets, No Retreat

Prayer
And would pray with us about the persecuted Christians and unreached people around the world?

Joshua Project

Colossians 4:2,3 "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains."

Thanksgiving
And I am thankful for the testimony of a friend last night who has had a not easy life, and God has provided and is getting the glory. "What is this called here?" He gestures to the circle that we had formed to pray over the meals, "It's a family, we're a family."

We are God's family, through Jesus Christ, we are never alone anymore. Oh I wish I could tell you his whole story! Well, at least the part of it that I know...but just know that God is alive and He is a Big God.

I'm also thankful that my kids can pray and sing praises during the loudest thunderstorm we-have-ever-experienced (yes we were scared, no it wasn't all roses and lollipops, one of us lost our lunch, one of us could have slept through the entire thing, neither one of those was me, but we were looking to Jesus instead of our fear), and then praise the Lord for answering their prayers before drifting to sleep.

Father's Day

This in between period can be a challenge as we are looking to Thailand but also full-heartedly serving the Lord here in Indiana until time to leave. Nothing is too difficult for our Lord, just as He told Moses, "The Lord answered Moses, “Is the Lord’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not what I say will come true for you.” Numbers 11:23.

We have faith in Him who has definitely called us, in Him who always does what He says He will do, in Him who wants the world to know His Name and wants to use us to tell them.

We have a Vision Trip to Thailand that we are preparing for this Fall. We don’t have exact dates, yet, but we will post it as soon as we know! We will be visiting for two to three weeks and will be meeting other OMF members while experiencing the land and culture there. Can’t wait to see what God is going to do next!! His timing and plans are perfect, so we wait and trust Him for everything, He is faithful!

This Father’s Day was a blessed day to honor our dads and fellowship with them, and to worship our Father in Heaven. Because anyone who is in Christ is a child of the Father, and He is a Father to the fatherless PRAISE HIM! And even when the day turned to evening, and sleep eluded us, the Lord gives His peace and we can still keep breathing and praising.

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.”
Romans 5:1&2

So we keep our eyes on Him. We love Him with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength, and love our neighbors, no matter where we are on this earth. Because He is our hope and our salvation, and our lives are a constant pouring out of what He has done and is doing deep in our hearts. He will never leave us, He promised it, and He always keeps His promises!

Delivery!

Our family is heading out to deliver about 80 sack meals tonight to our friends around town. We praise God for the team of people who dedicate themselves to donating food and/or time, and are so blessed to be a part of people's lives here in Corydon. Through prayer and meeting together, we have truly been blessed to make some awesome relationships and point people to Christ. If you'd like to pray, here are some needs:
1) God to get the glory in everything we say and do
2) Our hearts and attitudes would match up with His
3) His Holy Spirit would give us wisdom when we are listening to, talking with people and praying with them
4) Pray that those who are struggling with addictions to be set free in Jesus' Name
5) Pray that those who are depressed would be set free and be joyful
6) there's much more, but that'll get you started, thank you!

Acts 2:42 Ministry

Praise God!

Things

Right now, we are calling this "preparation time." Just a little idea of what our proposed schedule looks like:

Prayer! Prayer! Prayer!
We are praying for God to build us a Prayer Team. He is faithful!

What to pray for:
That the Lord would have His Perfect Way in this ministry
We would be full of His Spirit, seeking Him first
That He would get all the glory
That those we will be serving would begin to already call on His Holy Name
For Salvation!
For a dedicated and passionate Prayer Team to come alongside this ministry

...just for starters!

Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Romans 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

2 Corinthians 1

On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
